WORKSHOP FOR SANSKRIT

A one day workshop for Sanskrit Lecturers of Udupi district was conducted on 20^th August 2025 in the college auditorium of Vidyodaya Pre-University College in association with Department of School Education (Pre-University)

The workshop began with an invocation by Sri Raghavendra Aithal, followed by the inauguration by Sri Maruthi, DDPU of Udupi district by lighting the lamp. While addressing the gathering our honourable DDPU spoke about the importance of workshops and its benefits to the lecturers.

Sri Dr. T.S Ramesh, H.O.D, Department of Sanskrit, Poornaprajna College, Udupi, briefed the lecturers about the importance and ‘Special Characteristics of Sanskrit’.

Sri Dr. Mahesh Kakathkar, Lecturer in Sanskrit, Govt. Pre-University College, Sringeri was the special invite of the programme.

Sri Sandeep Kumar, Principal, Vidyodaya Pre-University College, was the President of the programme. Sri Jayakara Kangannaya welcomed the gathering and Sri Venkatesha Moorthy proposed the vote of thanks. The programme was compered by Sri Shivaprasad Bhat, lecturer in Sanskrit, Vidyodaya Pre-University College, Udupi.
