JEE/NEET Orientation Programme for I PUC Students and Parents


An orientation programme was organised by Vidyodaya Pre-University College, Udupi, on 4 July 2026 at the auditorium of Vidyodaya Public School for the I PUC JEE/NEET aspirants and their parents. The resource person for the programme was Dr. Mithun, Dean (Academics) of Jnanasudha Institutions.


The main objectives of the programme were to provide a comprehensive roadmap of the JEE (Main and Advanced) and NEET syllabi and examination formats, and to educate parents on how to alleviate study pressure, recognise signs of burnout, and prevent performance anxiety among students.


While addressing the students and parents, Dr. Mithun emphasised the importance of balancing board examinations with competitive exam coaching, developing healthy study habits, managing performance anxiety, and understanding the integrated curriculum pathway. He also guided parents on effectively supporting their children through the rigorous JEE and NEET preparation process. The session highlighted the need to balance board examinations with competitive coaching, cultivate healthy study habits, and synchronise competitive exam preparation with the board examination syllabus.


Sri Sandeep Kumar, Principal of Vidyodaya Pre-University College, Udupi, delivered the introductory speech, assuring parents of quality education, excellent facilities, and a conducive learning environment. Smt. Ranjana K., Vice Principal, welcomed the gathering, and Smt. Shubha Kamath, Head of the Department of Physics, proposed the vote of thanks. Smt. Archana Acharya, Lecturer in the Department of Mathematics, compered the programme.
