Orientation Programme for I PUC Students of 2025-26 Batch

An Orientation programme was organised in Vidyodaya Pre-University College, Udupi for the I PUC students and their parents to familiarize them with college’s academic structure, vision and activities for the academic year, rules and regulations of the institute, importance of competitive exams and its preparation.

The Chief Guest and the resource person of the event was Dr. Ananthapadmanabha Achar, CEO, AIC Nitte, Incubation Center.

The programme commenced with a prayer by Ananya of II PUC, followed by a warm welcome by Smt. Ranjana K, Vice Principal of Vidyodaya P.U. College. The Chief Guest of the programme, along with other dignitaries lit the lamp to emphasise a new beginning.

Sri. Sandeep Kumar, Principal, Vidyodaya P.U. College, briefed the parents and students about the previous achievements of the college, the role of the parents and students in achieving success and also discussed the rules and regulations, code and conduct of the college.

Mr. Sandeep Shenoy, Lecturer in Physics briefed the parents and students about importance of competitive exams in present era and how one can effectively plan for the same.

Smt. Sapna Rajesh, Lecturer in English introduced the Chief Guest and resource person, Sri Dr. Ananthapadmanabha Achar to the audience. This was followed by a thought provoking talk by the resource person who elaborated on various strategies that educators can adopt to build a positive classroom environment and he also emphasised the importance of Yoga and Meditation for good concentration. His PPT presentation was very effective.

Sri. K. Ganesh Rao, the Secretory, College Management Committee, in his presidential address spoke about the importance of good education in the present scenario and the duties of the students to their parents and college.

Smt. Shakunthala R. Palan, H.O.D. Department of Computer Science proposed vote of thanks and the programme was compered by Smt. Anupama I., H.O.D. Department of English.
