80th Independence Day Celebration at Vidyodaya Pre-University College

Vidyodaya Pre-University College celebrated India’s 80th Independence Day on 15th August 2026 at the college premises. Students of Vidyodaya Pre-University College and Shri Anantheshwara Higher Primary School participated in the programme. The celebration included flag hoisting by Chief Guest Sri N. Nagaraja Ballal, patriotic songs, the National Song, National Anthem, student speeches and messages encouraging responsible citizenship and respect for democratic values.

80th Independence Day Celebration at Vidyodaya Pre-University College
The 80th Independence Day of India was celebrated with dignity and reverence at Vidyodaya Pre-University College on 15th August 2026. Students of Shri Anantheshwara Higher Primary School and Vidyodaya Pre-University College participated in the celebration held on the college premises.
The programme began with an enchanting prayer song by the students of Shri Anantheshwara Higher Primary School. The National Flag was hoisted by the Chief Guest, Sri N. Nagaraja Ballal, President, College Management Committee. This was followed by the National Song and the National Anthem, sung by the students of Vidyodaya Pre-University College. The students of Shri Anantheshwara Higher Primary School also presented a melodious patriotic song.
In his address, the Chief Guest, Sri N. Nagaraja Ballal, reminded us of the sacrifices made by our freedom fighters and urged the students to be responsible citizens by upholding the values of democracy.
The presence of Sri K. Ganesh Rao, Secretary, College Management Committee; Sri Sandeep Kumar, Principal, Vidyodaya Pre-University College; Smt. Ranjana K., Vice Principal, Vidyodaya Pre-University College; and Smt. B.G. Shashirekha, Headmistress, Shri Anantheshwara Higher Primary School, added prestige to the programme.
Hamsini R. Acharya of Class VI, Shri Anantheshwara Higher Primary School, delivered an inspiring speech on patriotism.
Dhanya Shettigar of II PUC, the College Pupil Leader, welcomed the gathering.
Sannidhi H.S. of VII Std., Shri Anantheshwara Higher Primary School, proposed the vote of thanks.
The programme was compered by Aradhya Holla of VII Std., Shri Anantheshwara Higher Primary School.
