‘Everyone has talent. What is rare is the courage to showcase it.’
The College Talents Day was held on Saturday, 8th August 2026, at the college open stage to uncover and encourage the hidden artistic potential among students. On this occasion, the felicitation ceremony for the meritorious students of the 2025-26 batch was also held to acknowledge their efforts.
Sri Vijay P. Rao, Principal, Anandatirtha P.U. College, Pajaka, was the Chief Guest for the felicitation programme.
Main Objectives:
1. To celebrate the achievements of the students.
2. To inspire the students to continue pursuing their passions and excel in their respective fields.
3. To uncover and encourage hidden artistic potential among students.
The programme began at 9:30 a.m. with a prayer song by Thvisha and Yashwini of II E.
While addressing the students, Sri Vijay P. Rao highlighted the importance of ‘vision’ in one’s life. He said that every person is born with talent and ability. When these talents are combined with dedication, determination, and hard work, they bring success in one’s life.
Sri K. Ganesh Rao, Secretary, College Management Committee, in his presidential address, spoke on the value of choosing passions and resilience.
Sri Sandeep Kumar, Principal, Vidyodaya P.U. College, delivered the welcome speech highlighting the importance of balancing academics with co-curricular growth. He also introduced the Chief Guest to the audience.
Smt. Shubha S. Kamath, Head of the Department of Physics, and Smt. Usha, Head of the Department of Commerce, announced the names of the meritorious students. The students were honoured with a ‘Certificate of Appreciation’ by the dignitaries on the dais.
Smt. Ranjana K., Vice Principal, delivered the vote of thanks, and Smt. Sharavathi S. Shettigar, Lecturer, Dept. of English, compered the programme.
The formal function was followed by a talent show by the students to showcase non-academic skills, including classical and western dance, solo singing, instrumental music, Kavana Vachana, and mimicry. The students participated enthusiastically and won the hearts of the teachers and their friends.
