CAREER COUNSELING FOR I PUC COMMERCE STUDENTS

Vidyodaya Pre-University College in association with ICAI Udupi Branch conducted a ‘Career Counseling Programme’ on CA and other career opportunities for the students of         I P.U.C Commerce on Friday 4^th July 2025 at the college auditorium. CA Sowmya Kamath was the resource person of the programme.

The main focus of the programme is to help the students to understand the scope and importance of CA course, and also enlighten the students about the career opportunities available for commerce students for a prestigious life.

In her interactive session with the students, the resource person CA Sowmya Kamath explained that the students must understand their strengths, interests and goals. She briefed the students about CA course and how to pursue it and elucidated the key role of a Charted Accountant in the society. She also highlighted alternative courses that can be pursued and various career opportunities after II PUC.

In his address to the students, Sri Sandeep Kumar, Principal, Vidyodaya Pre-University College, stressed on the importance of having aim in one’s life and also advised the students to take benefit of the programme.

Jayesh an alumni of Vidyodaya Pre-University College, who has cleared the ‘Foundation and Intermediate’ of CA course addressed the students and said how PUC curriculum helped to clear CA exams and also highlighted the importance of SICASA grow up in clearing CA.

The programme was inaugurated with ICAI motto song. The Chairperson, CA Archana R. Maiya, Udupi Branch, welcomed the gathering and Shamis Dinesh Kunder student of I PUC Commerce deliverd the vote of thanks. Miss Amulya introduced the resource person CA Sowmya Kamath and CA Archana R. Maiya presented a memento to the Principal. The programme was compered by CA Sumith Shetty. Smt Usha HOD, Department of Commerce, Vidyodaya Pre-University College, co-ordinated the entire programme.
